John's (Anglican) Church last Sun- day, as members and friends assem- bled for the Harvest Thanksgiving Service, were evidently delighted with the gifts and decorations, but were more impressed with the "new look" in the Church, for the interior walls had been re-painted throughout the building. During the previous week many hours were spent doing this work in the evenings, sometimes until almost midnight. The work-team, organized and led by the Churchwardens (Messrs. Frank Staniland and 'George Wolfe) gave readily, of their time and energy and skill, and a very creditable job was accomplished niost successfully. The Wardens were assisted by Messrs Tom Hodge, Neil Bailey, Jdck and Don Green, Fred Hamilton and Bryan |, Staniland, to. whom most grateful thanks are due, also to those who most kindly lent scaffolding, planks and other necessities so that the work could be done expeditiously, Visitors at St. John's Rectory for the Thanksgiving week-end included Mr. and Mrs. Eric Chaperlin and fa- mily; Rev. & Mrs, C.
