I, Fralick. ' ~ Junior Farmers The Port Perry Junior Farmers held their regular meeting on April 22 in the Port Perry High .8chool. Brooklin Junior-Farmers and the Ux- bridge Junior Farmers were invited to come and participate in the meet- ing. The clubs responded wonder- fully and there was over forty in attendance. The meeting opened with a short business session "with Bill Stewart acting as chairman. A draw 'was made for door prizes and Lois Tre- gunna won the girls prize and Ken Alsop won the boys prize. Al Blades who acted as chairman for the entertainment part of the meeting. Frank Barkey with Lillian Couves at the piano led the group in a sing song. The Beaverton members acted out each of the ten command- ments and at the finish the audience were asked to guess what they were representing. Then the group was treated to two songs by Lillian, "Ruth and Betty Couves. We were glad they were able to come and we want to thank them for helping with the meeting. Jeanne and Bert Pearson of the Ux- bridge Junior Farmers each presented a short skit. Maustyn McKnight had four boys and girls come to the stage where a contest was held in which the girls sewed some lovely print and gingham patches on the boys pants. Lois Tregunna and Ron Werry won the prize for this. Grant Carson of the Brooklin Junior Farmers held a couple of hilarious contests to deter- mine the fastest banana eaters and the quickest milk drinkers with slight handicaps. = Prizes were given the winners. A dance was held with Bert Pear- son calling and members of the Bea- verton club providing the music. A very nice lunch was served by Ruby Leask and Carol Midgley at the conclusion of the meeting.
