The Annual Christmas Tree enter- tainment will be held on Dec. 19th, (Thursday) in the Township Hall at 4 p.m. The W.A. met at the home of Mrs. J. Dobson last Thursday afternoon. The meeting opened with hymn "A- way in a Manger" followed by Prayer. Mrs. Lucille Gray read a lovely Christ- "| mas legend and Mra. Phylis Midgley read the Scripture lesson. Mrs. Caw- ker presided for the business period. Eighteen members and two visitors answered the roll. The minutes of November meeting were read by Sec. Mrs. Ruby Fielding, and same adopted. A number of "Thank-You" letters were read. A motion, carried unanimously, to cater for the Junior Farmers Banquet on January 18th. It was decided to raise cash-for the flower fund with "Bell" holiday cards instead of Sun- shine bags. The ladies are asked to have their cards on display at Mrs. Croxall's meeting in January, where they will be judged for originality and a small prize will be given, Mrs. Braham sang an appealing Christmas number. The meeting closed with W.A. Theme and Prayer. Myg. Dobson and her group served funch and a social session was enjoy- ed. Collection $6.80. Mr. Harty Cowan and Fraser Rog- ers of Minden were with his sister Mrs. Roach and family over the week- end. Prospect The December meeting of the W.A. was held at the home of Mrs. Durham, with the president, Mrs. Murray Holt- by in the chair. There were the usual reports. It was decided to hold their meetings next year, on the Second Thursday evening of each month. The parsonage committee, Janet Vernon and Tot Holtby, were re-appointed. each, were voted to the Scott Mission and Salvation Army of Toronto. Mrs. Mosienko offered her home for the January meeting, group assisting are Mrs. Durham, Marion Webster and Willa Holtby. Mrs. Leslie Smith conducted the worship service, which opened with the motto and Theme Song, followed by the Lord's Prayer. Several Christ- mas carols were sung, acompanied on the violin by our pastor. Marion We- bster read the Scripture lesson and Rev. Braham offered prayer. Kaye Smith gave an interesting Christmas story and Jean Holtby read "The Little Match Girl", by Hans Christian Anderson. The meeting closed with the Theme prayer. A word contest using "Merry Christmas" introduced a friendly social hour, during which the hostess was assisted by Kaye Smith, Jean Holtby and' Mrs. Dear- born.
