Newnham presaited their infant child, Bapbara Jean for baptism at which Mr. Wylie reverently officiated, Mr. Sayvwell's talk was most inspir- ing, emphasizing the importance of attending Sunday School, also stressed faithful co-operation among leaders and parents. The following musical numbers added beauty to the service, first the children's rendered a tender An organ solo by Mrs. G. Hunter accompanied at the piano by Mrs. B. Snelgrove. Offering was dedicated by Robt. Heayn and Lloyd Wilson. The Supt. voiced his appreciation to our guest and those contributing their time and talents to mark the special day. Next Sunday keep in mind the chamge in schedule; Sunday School in the basement as usual, while church service held upstairs, both commenc- ing at 10 a.m. - Bring choir number. along your baby or pre-school age family as a nursery will be in hand to welcome your care while Mr, and Mrs. attend church. The executive of the Sunday School met Friday evening. Main dicussion on most convenient time for services. And a committee appointed to decide on picnic site and oversee other sim- iliar- plans for same. Last Tuesday night the members of "Good Neighbours Service Club", accompanied by hubby arrived from c¢very direction to the set place of Doupe's Store to climb itno a chart- ered DeNure bus which left enroute for Toronto at 7 o'clock. Every seat occupied as well as a few visitors we were pleased to have join us. At 8.30 we were in Toronto and privileged to see "Oklahoma" which overwhelmed everyone, Again n the bus on our homeward route during which time the Club president Pat Love announc- ed the idea of a cup of coffee, perhaps if "Fred would stop at outskirts of the city. This we did, also bus driver not only coffee, but chicken, vegetables, pie actually the word diet was buried. We arrived in our village in wee hours of the morning. One husband was heard to remark; it was terrifc, we all should do this more often.
