Twenty-seven ladies from Black- stock and Netleton chartered a bus on Tuseday evening and attended the 60 anniversary of the District Women's Institute held in Newcastle. Murs, Glen Hood led in a contest, and was won by Mrs, Earl Reader. Mrs, Eunice Hunter gave an interesting reading and then led in a musical contest on Countries. Lunch was served by Mrs. Michie, Mrs. Rus. Pogue and Mrs, Earl Reader. November meeting will be held at the Centre School on Nov. 16th with the following ladies in charge of the lunch--Mus. John Warren, Mrs. Alvin Heayn and Mrs, Thos. Redman. Mr, Newman, the student minister sermon last Sunday morning. The Anthem "Someone is Praying for You" was sung by the Choir.
