They passed through a beauti- fully decorated arbour with a gate and- were welcomed - by their new teacher Mrs. A. Fisher. Similarly Dawn Johnston, Margatét Fisher and Myrle Thompson were promoted and received by Mrs, R. Batten into her class. Mrs. Wm. Hopkins gave an inter- esting talk on "The Bible Speaks to Us To-day." She told the story of Samuel and also about a crippled boy named Tommy who longed to have a Bible of his own. Hig friend finally brought him one and Tommy was the Africa. The offering which amounted to $31.16 goes toward needy Sunday Schools. - Dr. B. D. Armstrong had charge of the Church service at 7.30 p.m. He was assisted by members of the Y.P.S. Joy Bradley read the 91st-Psalm and' Elizabeth Deeming read the new Testament lesson St. Luke, Chapter 11 verses 1-18. Douglas Ashton led in prayer. Dr. Armstrong installed Y.P. 8 Dr. Armstrong chose for his text St. Luke chapter 11 verse 2 "Our Father who Art in -Heaven", and spoke on the "Fatherhood "of God."
