Prince Albert It indeed was very gratifying on Sunday to have ideal weather and everything favorable for our Church Anniversary service -- just one this year--and what 'a fine.service it was. We are sure all must have felt proud of our Church with its nice clean walls, newly painted floors and steps and new runners for the aisles, etc. Lovely baskets of flowers added to the beauty of it all. It was nice to see our choir girls back.in .place again, with our organist Mrs, Snelgrove, The Uxbridge Jr, Farmers' Quar- tette rendered three very lovely num- bers with their accompanist at the organ. : Rev. R. H: Wylie was in charge of service. Rev. Mr, Joblin introduced the special speaker, Dr, E. Crossley Hunter, B.A. Needless to say every pew was occupied, for Dr. Hunter is a special favorite in these parts, so well known because off his first cir- cuit being Epsom and Utica. In speaking of some of the past events, it was amusing when he mentioned that his daughter was born in Epsom, tells people, "she was born half way between Port Perry and Uxbridge." We were also proud when Dr. Hunter informed us that Ralph Lyle, a former Prince Albert boy, is associate Sun- day School Supt. of his Church. Two other Trinity Church members be- sides Ralph were present, Mr. and Mrs. Timlick, the former Jessie White and at one time our Sunday: School organist: We were also pleased to see Mrs. Banks of Toronte and Beaver- ton, the former Ida Hartry, and when living here was Church Organist. Her J sister Mrs. B. Bentley of Richmond Hill was with her. On a recent Sunday morning at Church Service, our Pastor Rev. R. H. Wylie, assisted by Rev. F. Joblin, dedi- cated two fine new offering Plates, PORT IL LIONS re PRESENTS ? | HOCKEY NIGHT : " in PORT PERRY Toronto Maple: Leafs oa" 0% 0% 0%, ing third prize on our Institute dis- play at Port Perry fair.
