It was also passed that for scoring in the Play- Offs a 'member of the opposing team as scorer or if a neutral scorer was used he would have to be agreeable to the opposing team. - It was passed that the banquet which as far as we know will be held on April 6th, is definately going to be out of town. Information has been obtained from the.Club Bayview in Whitby as to prices and they seem very satisfactory. It was also sug- gested that buses be obtained from DeNure Bus Lines for transportation. The Thursday night League are go- ing to combine with the Business Men's League for the banquet. A pominating committee of three was set up to nominate a slate of of- ficers for the coming year, which will be voted on at the banquet. A committee-was-also set up to be in charge of procuring the trophies for the winners. Port Perry! H.S. Bantams Win Total Point Playoff - 'By I. W. Parkinson Port Perry HS. Bantam cagers, led by their scoring ace, Bill Cornish, took their second game of a "two-gaiie total point series, 53-32 and 'won the play-off 108-76 on total points over Whitby HS. Parkinson) : The two teams who were 'in play- offs at this time one week ago came through in convincing style--the Ban- tams from P.P.H.S. SWAMPING the strong quintet from WHITBY H. S. 63.32 on WED,, at WHITRY, taking the ROUND 108-76. On SAT. NITE prior to the hockey game the LIONS STAGED A GREAT COMEBACK to TIE PICTON (and the two top play- ers from Bellville's INT. 'B' TEAM) 63 ALL, and WIN the SERIES by a 20 POINT MARGIN 116-96. This means that after winning three play- off rounds the LIONS have finally reached the SEMI-FINALS INTER- MEDIATE --OBA INT. 'C' PLAY: DOWNS FOR ONTARIO. For the cage fans who keenly follow the suc- cess of our local lads, they will note with interest that PICTON brought TWO pretty fair PLAYERS from BELLEVILLE--in fact they got 39 of PICTON"S 63 points. Gibson, Wilson and Sandford played fine ball for the WHS, not only in the play-offs but all through their schedule. However the superior bench strength and balance of the PPHS lads was the deciding issue in the play-offs.
