Wilson, mother of Miss Ruby Wilson, a Missionary, acknowledging our Missionary gift of $10 to Ruby. Mrs. W. Brown and Mrs, Murphy of the kitchen committee were appointed to- engage an electrician to fix the kitchen light. 7 We are very grateful to Mrs. G. R. Smith and Miss Spence for two table- cloths. A beautiful floral patterned 'quilt was on view, which had just been completed by some of the W.A. members, and had been previously ordered, "An open supper was served by Group 1, to a goodly number. With the supper collection was another $6 bill.- These two dohations of the day were contributed by two elderly sis- ters of our village, for which we say thank-you. For: program, Films were shown, operated by Mrs. Middleton. These pictures were enjoyed very much by both . adults and a large number of children. New Industry For Whithy Plans for the establishment of an- other new and important industry in Whitby were revealed recently, when it was announced that the Chicago Printed String Company, one of the leading manufacturers of tying ma- terials and gift wrappings in the Uni- ted States, had purchased a six and one-half acre site in the town for the construction of Canadian factory.
