In Memoriam MILLS -- In loving memory of Harold, who passed away October 1st, 1951. A silent thought, a secret tear Keeps his memory ever dear, Time takes away the edge of grief, But memory turns back every leaf. i " Ever remembered by Mildred and Roy MILLS--In loving memory of Har- old, who passed away October 1st, 19561. What would I give to clasp his hand, His dear face to see, To hear his voice and see his smile, That means so much to rie, Dearly remembered by Mother and Father. MILLS -- In loving memory pf a dear husband and: father, Harold C. Mills, who passed away Oct. 1st, 1951. God knew that lie was suffering, That the hills were hard to climb. So he closed his-weary eyelids _ And whispered, "Peace be thine." Away in the beautiful hills of God By the valley of rest so fair, Some time, some day, know not when, I will meet my loved one there. A. J. Girwood of Guelph was elected president. 'H. 0. Hawke of Galt, a director of the district organization, raised the question of rate zones after M. J. McHenry, Hydro Electric Power Com- mission consumers' service 'consult- ant, had delivered an address on oosing, of power to municipalities." - Mr, Hake suggested the "time has come" 'when the HEPC should be considering established rates in fixed zones so that "one rate would not ap- ply to Galt and another rate to Pres- ton and Hespler only a few. miles a- part. » Mr. McHenry said zoning for rate purposes has been considered but that variances in operating costs for in- dividual municipal utility commis. sions would make it virtually impos- gible under present working condi- tions. Lombardo Prize Medley on Station CKLB Year in and year out, there is one "favorite band leader whom the sweet- music enthusiasts regularly tune in. And, that band leader is Guy Lom- bardo. The long continued preference for his distinctively styled melodies is evidenced in the positively expres- sed preferences of yoyng and old a- like, who flock to see him and hear him on the stage, at famous ball- rooms and in the movies. It is in the new GUY LOMBARDO SHOW, however, that Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians achieve the very pinnacle of their success. It 1s here that "The Sweetest Music This Side of Heaven" is presented in a brilliantly beautiful musical show. Its magnificence is reflected in its star-studded program, in the glorious voices if its singers, in the novelty 'and interest of special presentations like the Vocal Trio, the famous Ple- ture Story and the Lombardo Prize Medley. or The Lombardo Prize Medley is a most unusual high-light of THE GUY | | LOMBARDO SHOW. '* Its 'interest and attention-value are emphasized by the manner in which David Ross and. Guy Lombardo introduce the songs to be played. 'They are pre- sented without titles, and with gen- eral suggstions as to the character of the melodiés. This is a musical quiz game that the entire Tamily en- joys. 3 + The new GUY 'LOMBARDO SHOW may be heard over CKLB, Friday at 8.30 p.m. / Gleiwood H Homes Building Ajax: This company was formed during the winter of 1952-63 for the purpose of building houses in Ajax.
