The world to-day is looking for the answers. Answers to many problems that beset her. Will there he another war? What about the atomic, the hydrogen bomb? What is Russia up to? What Ts behind all these strikes? She is seeking a suré way out of the fog of quandry that surrounds her and is looking for the light of lasting peace with safety and security. As yet we are far from satisfied with the answers. There is another question seems to cause much discussion. It has to do with our service of God. It is the question of religion. Here, too, there seems to be confusion. But need there be? God is Truth Itself. Truth It cannot contradict itself. There is but One True God. There can only be one true worship of that God. _Are you satisfied that you are wor- [shipping God the way He wants, not the way you want? Inquiries welcome. SCUGOG The Communion service on Sunday was very well attended and all were pleased to have eight new members join at Grace Church. A fine mes- sage was delivered by Rev. J. R. Bick. Gi, I. 1 » Last Wednesday evening a bus load of singing C.G.LT. girls from [Iort Perry set forth at 7.15 for Brooklin, Some people on the Highway must have wondered what was going down the road. There must have been several sore throats the next morning bgcause some of them were really us- ink their voices. We were glad to see 50 many come out, there were 30 girls present. --- : When we arrived at Brooklin the girls of the Brooklin C.G.L'T. gave us a small green cardboard bunny and a pencil Lo. write our name, this we pin- ned on our clothing so that everybody knew everybody's - name. Our girls had prepared a Worship Service and we went up into the Church for this. We were very phroud-of our girls be- cause tliey presented the service well. We then all went downstairs where we were entertained by the Brooklin girls, some of them played a guitar und sang, others played the piano and still another gave a very amusing dialogue. These girls were so good we brought them back for an encore each time, Their leader, Mrs. Patter- son, then lined us up for games and for the rest of the evening we were amused by a great variety of games. We were divided into teams and at the end of the evening the team of "Blue- birds" had the most points and were each given a small umbrella filled with -{candy. We then sat at card tables in "our group while" the Brooklin girls served lunch, 'and this was indeed de- licious. After lunch we sang taps and bade the Brooklin girls farewell. When we got on the bus we thought that the girls would be tgo tired to sing, but not themn -It -was wonderful to listen to them singing, but-I wonder does anyone know of anyway to get the back of the bus and the front of the bus singing the same song; if so please let us know. On Sunday evening the Port Perry C.G.LT. affiliated with the Womai's Missionary Society and presented our cheque which is to go toward mis- sions. Qur service was carried out by the girls themselves and they did very well. "An affiliation service is just to let the older people knew that the younger ones are interested in Missions and that they have studied about them and at the end of their studies have felt that they would like to donate something towards the up-, keep of missionary work. Who says the young people of now- adays are hopeless 'and that you can't depend upon them and that they are this, that and the other thing. When you work with young people you ex- pect them to have their ups and downs but believe me the C.G.LT. girls have had no downs at all. They have worked hard to make their banquet a success and it-is going to be because right in "and learned their various parts and have done everything that of "Port Perry are grand to, they have done everything possible to help and everyone has been most generous.
