The annual congregational meeting of Burn's Church was held in the base- ment of the church on Monday, Jan. 24th, Rev. J. Riddell, presiding. Mur. Wm. Gardner read the minutes. The treasurers of the various departments, gave their reports and each showed a healthy financial standing. 3/7 church report showed a bala of $660.78. The Sunday School total re- ceipts were $493.26 of which $225 was forwarded to missions. The W. M. S. forwarded to the treasurer of Lindsay 'Presbytery $127.64. $62.50 was col- lected for the Bible Society. Ladies' Bible Class raised $126.06, the Ladies' Guild $111.67. Reports of the year were received, and showed a very successful year in all departments of the Church. During the year the church has been beautifully decorated as befitting a house of worship. . The boards for 1949 were appointed. Mr. Wesley Crosier was re-appointed as treasurer; Mrs. H. Eagleson, envelope steward, Mrs. Wesley Crosier treas- urer of decorating fund. Messrs F. Watson, Cephas Sleep, Wesley Crosier and Ralph Reynolds were appointed as furnace committee and given auth- ority to made definite arrangements for installing a new furnace in the church.
