Port Perry PORT PERRY YACHT CLUB As correspondent for the F.PY.C., 1 am supposed to keep pretty well in- formed as to what is golng on in the organization, so I can give people a glimmer of 'our progress. Things are happening so darn fast that even I have a chore keeping up with them all. Ong instance should illustrate what I am getting at. 1 went .into the club house on Tuesday, found things much the same as they had been after the painting had been 80 well handled by Bill Baker. On Wednesday 1 dropped ip to keep an eye on things, only to find that if 1 thought I was keeping an eye on things I was in grevious error. Half the floot was covered with masonite, laid ire intricate pat- tern, and waxed. The blank space on 50 accustomed to was pretty well fill- ed with fireplace. All this happened in twenty-four hours! Some people are so anxious to get tickets for the New Year's dance that they can't settle down long enough to find out where they are being sold. Settle: down now, read this list, get your snow gear on and get crackin'! The Del, Frank Smith, Stan Bruton, Gord Robertson, Andy Lawrence, Bill Taylor, and your ever lovin' me, With the exception of the last named these are' the "fellas who have taken the extra weight on their shoulders of selling our tickets, To-day 1 experienced great diffi- culty in containing my impulses to tell Taylor just how his particular type of beauty affected me; when he asked in a not too kind manner, what was the matter with the dope who made out the posters we have decorated many of the business establishments mention that dress was optional for our New Year's party. In other words, the girls spend hours climbing into yards of chiffon, ete., while the fellas slip into something casual like fish and soup. . mas Day, filled with affection: and tokens of affection. This on my own '| behalf, as well as on the behalf of the Yacht Club I am proud to repre- sent. y Te Ee PROSPECT May I, at this season wish the staff, fellow correspondents and readers of the Port Perry Star the following: May the radiant Christmas season Bring its beauties, Tich and true, And surround all your homes-- With peace and joy To last the whole year through.
