Saturday afternoon, John, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Al- bert Jardine, Oshawa, and Dorothy Jean, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Iidward Fines, of Scugog, were united in marriage by Rev. F. G. Joblin, at his home in Port Perry. Ths bride looked very becoming in a light beige suit with pink and white accessories, and a corsage of pink roses. The bride was given in marriage by her father, and attended by Miss Margaret Curbia of Oshawa, dressed in blue with white accessories with pink carnations. Mr. Gus Craige, of Oshawa was best man. After the ceremony they re- turned to the home of the bride's par- ents at Lakeside for the reception and wedding supper where the tables and dining room looked very pretty deco- rated with pink and white petunias. Mrs. Fines was dressed in turquoise blue with a corsage of yellow roses, and was assisted by Mrs. Jardine who was dressed in grey with white carna- tions. About fifty guests enjoyed this happy occasion. The happy couple left amid best wishes and confetti for a honeymoon by motor to Loon Lake in Haliburton district for a couple of weeks, and on their return will re- side in Oshawa. All are sorry to hear of the sudden illness of Mr. George Ireeman, who was taken to Oshawa Hospital on Mon- day morning. All hope for a speedy recovery. Murs. Robt.
