KENT Phone 68 Port Perry James Archer Death came on Tuesaday last to a well known and respected citizen, in the person of James Archer, youngest brother of the late Drs, Archer, who for many years practised medicine in Port Perry. Born in 1874, on the first concession of Cartwright township, the son of the late Elizabeth and Robert Axcher, the deceased farmed on the homestead until the year 1915, when he moved to "Quaker Street" in the Township of Reach. In 1927 Mr, Archer retired and moved to Port Perry, taking up residence on Lilla street. His chief interest here has been his church, namely St. John's Presby- terian, of which he was an elder, and here he will be greatly missed. The funeral was held on Friday last from his late residence, where beautiful floral tributes and the pre- sence of many friends and: relatives, showed the esteem in which the late Mr, Archer was held, - Pallbearers were grand-nephews, John and Ronald Archer, - Robert Baker, Charlie and Eldon Fee and John Thompson. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. A. MacMillan, with interment in Pine Grove cemetery, Prince Albert. The sympathy of the Church and town goes out to Miss Elizabeth Archer, hig sister, who has been his life-long companion, IN MEMORIAM SCHELL~--In loving memory of a 'dear. wife, mother and grandmother, Maudie Schell, who passed away, May 8th, 1943, o Your last parting wish We would like to have heard; And breathed in your ear Our last parting word, Only those who have lost .
