Holman Dies in Toronto (Toronto Daily Star) John David Holman, 61, for more than 30 years on the staff of the Can- adian Bank of Commerce, died last Friday at his Walmsley Blvd. home, He had been associated with the To- ronto branch since 1927. Born in Prince Albert, Ontario, Mr, Holman had been with the bank at Parkhill and Collingwood before com- ing to Toronto. He took an active 'part in baseball and tennis and played in the commercial hockey league. As the show in the Town Hall Theatre was an important date for that evening, the paper chase was dispensed with, However, a very good crowd of young people gathered after the show and wended their way to a large field west of town, where the fire was burn- ing brightly and the "weenies" almost ready when everyone arrived. Hot dogs, pop, and marshmallows were consumed in short order, then all settled around the camp fire for a sing-song. Before the sing-song had been under way for very long--in fact during one of Wes Jackson's ukelele and vocal solos, the rain came down group to disperse.
