Mrs. Cecil Hill was in charge of the devotional period. Mrs, H, Bell gave an Easter reading "Hands"; Miss Vivian Saddler sang a solo and Mrs, Earl Dorrell favored with two humorous readings. At the close refreshments were served and a vote of thanks tendered the hostess for her hospitality. Congratulations are extended to Rev. and Mrs. Milton B. Sanderson, (nee Annie Swain) on the birth of a baby daughter--Elizabeth Ann (Beth) on Friday, April 14th, 1939, at the Victoria Memorial Hospital, Toronto. Hill a reading on "Peace". Mrs. Roy Ferguson read "The Love- liest Rose". Lunch was served at the closé of the meeting and a vote of thanks tendered -the hostess for the use of her home. Gerrow and son Anson, attended the funeral of their old neighbour Mrs. Joshua Todd at Myrtle on Saturday. She spent the early part of her married life on the Island, and the old farm still is known at the "Tadd Place." Philp was held on Monday, from his late residence. - On Friday miorning when neighbours called they found the door locked. On forcing the door they found his lifeless body on the floor.
