LAKEY There passed to her reward at Wel- lesley Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday, December 24th; 1938, LillieM. Parish; beloved wife of Charles W. Lakey, of Utica, in her 47th year. Deceased was a daughter of the late Levi Parish and Mrs. Parish, of Port Perry, and leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, one nephew, Frank Mec- Gregor, at home, and four sisters, Mrs. W." Turner, Port Perry, Mrs. G. Me- Kinley, of Wick, Mrs. Cameron, North 'Oshawa, and Mrs. W. O. Bemeis, of Oshawa. In 1913 the late Mrs. Lakey was united. in marriage to Mr. Chas. W. Lakey, of Utica, when they resided on, Quéen St., Toronto. They then moved to Melbourne where they kept a grocery store until 1922. They bought the general store- and home at Utica in which Mrs. Lakey was very active. Déteased was a member-of the United Church in.which up until the time of her lingering illness, shé took a keen interest in church work, Christ- mas concerts, 'dramas, etc, also or- ganized the Girls' Bluebird Club of which she was Secretary for many years, Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. T. Laidlaw of Toronto, a former pastor, assisted by Rev. A. Bushell, her present pastor, in thé presence of relatives and scores of friends.
