Yincere sympathy is extended to Mrs, Colwell and sons William and Gordon. 'The regular meeting of the Ladies' Aid was held at the home of Miss McFarlane presided. The meeting was opened by singing a hymn, followed by prayer and Bible lesson read by Mrs. Lewis Lunney. Baroness Von Ritchl was the special speaker. Here subject was "The Protestant Church in Austria". Baroness Von Ritchl is a gifted speak- er, and every one was delighted to hear such an inspiring talk, and it made us very thankful to be living in Canada, where we enjoy so many blessings. Mrs. McCarthy of Her- kimer, N.Y., sang a pleasing solo. Mrs. Kennedy moved a hearty vote of thanks to Baroness 'Von Ritch], Mrs. McCarthy, and to Miss Williamson for the use of her home. At the close lot the meeting we had an exchange of Christmas gifts. Miss Aileen Williamson is in To- ronto. Mrs. McCarthy, of Herkimer, N.Y., is visiting her brother Mr. George Wil- liamson. i The Christmas Tree Entertainment of the Sunday School will be held on Thursday evening, December 28rd. The Sacrament of the Lord's Sugiper was dispensed in St. Andrew's Church on Sunday morning. Mr, Reid McFarlane and Miss Dure were home for the week end. MYRTLE December 22nd has been the date set for the annual Christmas tree and con- cert in connection with the Sunday School. Mrs. Robert E. Hoar and daughter Myrtle, of Toronto, visited the form- er's father, Mr. W. 8. Park, on Satur- day. Mr. and Mrs. E. Butterworth, of Woodville, spent Sunday with the lat- ter's mother Mrs. J. Todd.- A very bad accident, in which three cars collided with each other, happen- ed midway between: the two' Myrtles on Saturday, afternoon. One lady oc- cupant received painful injuries, while the other occupants were badly shaken "Jup." Officer Waude investigated and the cars were towed to Cook's garage. Mr, Edward Mole accompanied by his two brothers were in Essex the 'first of the week attending the funeral of their oldest broher, Mr. John Mole. The bazaar and- supper. sponsored by the Faithful Workers' Class which was held in the Church basement on Wednesday afternoon and evening was a splendid success. Eager buyers bought off the tables that were well stocked 'with home-made cooking and candy, fancy work, cosmetics and cannéd goods..
