The young men who took part in the var- ious bouts are all members: of the Y.M.C.A. and are obliged to live clean wholesome lives in order to keep in fit mental and physical condition for such strenuous sport, A show such as this should be an inspiration to the teen age boys of the vicinity and clean living and physical development such as this can be encouraged by parents and sisters with pirde. Each bout was a very clever demon- matched. During the course of the evening we had the privilege of see- ing all but one or two of the recog- nized holds in the wrestling business. First bout at 123 pounds between Ted McKinley and Nuggy McDon- nagh, one fall 30 minutes, was won by McKinley after 18 minutes of lively performance. 3 Second bout at 168 pounds between Benny Engleblum and Joe Schliemar, two out of three falls 45 minute limit was won by Schliemer. First fall in 11 minutes and 40 seconds and the third after 6 minutes and 30 seconds. The second fall went to Engleblum after 5 minutes and 10 seconds. Third bout at 176 pounds, 2 out of 3 falls, one hour limit, between Bill Potts and Johnny Murray, was won by Potts, First fall after 11 minutes and 10 seconds, and the third fall after 7 minutes and 20 seconds. Mur- ray got the second fall after 5 min- utes and 10 seconds, This bout was most spectacular, Potts using two of the newest holds known to wrestling to gain his falls, These being the Irish whip and the Navajo Indian death hold specialties of Champion Dan O'Mahoney and Little Welt, re- spectively. .
