Perhaps the dreariest spectacle of near-sport offered tb citizens in these days is-that furnished by the modern wrestling racket. This splendid in- dustry has graduated from the simple period when it depended on fake bouts. The great minds in the profession have turned to foul play as a stimu- lant of public interest. Recently I watched half a dozen of these exhibitions. One of the men in each brawl was assigned the job of making himself thoroughly unpopular. He would slap, kick, rabbit-punch, gouge, knee and pull the hair of his opponent, Meanwhile the popular hero took his punishment with groans, desperate appeals to the referee. The audience took his side enthusiastically. Finally the hero rose in wrath and scratched the villain all over the ring, while the audience 10ared. It was all part of the swindle, and represents a new "low" in professional sports. --Reader's Digest -- FOR A HAPPY STOMACH A healthy stomach with Kidneys and Bladder functioning properly, means restful sleep. a0. 28e, d0¢, 65¢, 00e . vias water, fact today. padres ar half USTRALIAN DRUG COMPANY (i Fahd 8t., Toronto Waren 4521 OUR MAIN BUSINESS IS THE MANUFACTURE AND SALE OF HARNESS, COLLARS, HALTERS, AND HARNESS PARTS but we also sell the following lines: Auto Body Polish, Auto Top Dressing, Brass Metal Polish, B, & D, Furniture Polish, Peerless Poultry Prescription, British Cavalry Hoof Ointment, Royal Compo Polish, Balsam of Myrrh Lini- ment, the famous Bickmore Gall Salve, Eureka Harness Oil, Trunks, Suit Cases, Club Bags, the popular "Mirapack", which is so miraculously easy to pack.
