The beautiful autumn weather together with the pleasant remembrances of similar occasions at Ebenezer, enticed many visitors from Oshawa and Bowmanville. They were not disappointed, The tables may not have groaned hut they were certainly loaded with good things, while decorations of flowers and fruit added to the festive air. And as for chicken ple! Well, Eben- ezer ladies had a reputation to main- tain and they maintained it, Certain it is that many who came, saw and dined, went away hoping the ladies would do it again--and soon. On arrival some Oshawa visitors were heard to remark that the price of 75 cents was too much, hut after the supper they had changed their minds and declared that they each owed the Ebenezer ladies ahout a dollar, TY | Afterwards a splendid concert was given in the church. The program included vocal solos by Miss Reta Cole, a piano duet hy Misses Louise Oshorne and Muriel Penfound, a piano solo hy Miss Mathie, and read- ings by Mrs. C. M. Mundy.
