In this way the merry Columbus friends of the bride had an opportunity to meet Elorna in her new home and at the same time convey to her the loss to the community in her removal to Raglan. Elorna and Gordon were the reci- pients of many useful and ornamen- tal gifts from these assembled. After the presentation and the reading in some cases of appropriate verses the bride expressed ob thanks in a very able manner, The remainder of the evening was spent in visiting, play- ing games and listening to the fine music supplied by the fair sex.
