PAGE [WELVE The following extract is from a letter received by the Provincial Council of Boy Scouts for Ontario end very well shows how the good work dome by boy scounts is appre- clated. Dear Sir: On the night of Sept 30 my barn which was on ----------Ave. caught fire and had it not beem for the very prompt and brave act of Weston I would have lost my four horses. He discovered the fire, turned in the alarm, and yelled to attract the attention of the le ifn their homes on the street. He then went into the barn, which was 's blazing mass and brought out|poy every horse to safety at the risk of his own life. Myself and my men who know horses and my teams in TIME TABLES TTT TTT TIT rr rere particular can not understand how this frail boy handicaped by an artificial leg ever did this. One of my teams is a team of frisky colts and is all an able bodied man can side the burning barn and yelled to this Boy Scout to leave the harses ing barn. By the time the fire reels arrived he had every horse out and when the firemen asked who brought the horses out we looked for the lad and found that he had gone home to bed where he was sick for two days from the smoke he had inhaled. I really think this is deserving of some sort of recognization for his brave aet. When I wished to thank him he sald "I do not want to be thanked for I did nothing, only what every scout is taught to do and 1 am pleased to know that I hrought those poor dumb horses to safety." Such an act is undoubtly deserv- ing of much praise and all true Scouts join with this grateful man Ye 21209 a.m. Daily, : add in Oibawa ' -- as C.N.R, TIME TABLE Effective Sept. 30, 1928, .m. Copyright, 1926 The reason some of these cases remain more fixed is because they are but scars on the outer surface of the lens, but should they become of sufficiently serious a nature as to effect the immer layers of the lems, then a more progressive form of cataract is really brought into existence. This then may be brough, about by disease or by injury as before mentioned. Any reason for suspicion of its existence should be investigated and the patient is sure to gain more than he will lose by taking the examiner entirely into his con- fidence at the time of examination.
