The hoy was located yesterday on the farm of W. A. Smith, nurs- eryman, of Beachville, near Inger- soll, and aheut 26 miles east of London. The lad had taken the name of "Bill Harrison," but some one who had read of his disap- pearance in the newspapers saw hiny and informed the Ingersoll pu- lice. When confronted by officers the hoy admitted his identity and said he had read of the plight of his mother and was about to return home anyway. He was allowed to proceed west om his bicycle, and his uncle, Frank Sims, of this city, who had been notified that he had heen located, motored out Dundas street and met the youth coming toward London about mine miles from the city. When hls mother saw him she fainted, hut was soon revived, The finding of her boy proved a marvellous stimulant, NOISE INTERFERES WITH MUSIC AND DIRECTOR STOPS Philadelphia Orchestra Lead- er Takes Novel Method to Discipline Audience Philadelphia, Pa., Nov. §.--For a few tense moments Friday the oft- imagined "conductorless or- chestra" became a reality at the Academy of Music, when Leopold Stokowski, leader of the Philadel- phia orchestra, strode from the stage after a few bars of Gluck's "Alcesta'" had been played. His withdrawal topped off a pointed and plaintive curtain lee- ture, but a short time before when he stopped the mrusic because of rustling programs and other sounds down in front, and asked that the noise be discontinued. There was a sound of applause, and Mr. Stokowski again began the overture. But ushers in the outer corridor had mistaken the ap- plause as indicating the overture was ended and late-comers were permitted to enter and go to their seats, As they hurried down the aisles Mr. Stokowski again brought hig baton down, stopped the or- chestra for the second time and left the stage, leaving the audience in a state of what was later deserib- ed as the "best disciplined panic on record," Not knowing what else 4a do, the audience eventually applauded, and, after a lapse of five minutes. Mr. Stokowski reappeared and without further comment started the overture for the third time and played it through to the finish. mmr l------ FOR STUDENT CONTINUES IN VAIN SEARCH London, Ont, Nov. 5.--The 11th day since the disappearance of Ralph MeKay, young Western Uni- versity student, furnished no clue to his whereabouts, though police are beginning to receive reports from people in various parts of Western Ontario now responding to the appeal of McKay's father, to be on the lookout for hinr, Today High Constable A.
