"Canadian Stories" is the name' of this new magazine, which is devoted exclusively to fic- tion produced by Canadian wri- ters, The first issue, which is dat- ed April, contains an editorial by the well-known author, Archie P. McKishnie. The publisher of the magazine is Harry M. Moore, the editor of The Post, Deseronto, Ont. The idea behind such a publica- tion is highly creditable and The Oshawa Daily Times wishes it ev- ery success. Canadians are all too dependent upon imported publica- tions that are the product of for- eign writers and foreign workmen. If a high standard is maintained by "Canadian Stories" it should find a hearty welcome by Canadian readers. POLICE CHIEF DONNELLY OF BRANTFORD IS DEAD Brantford, Feb, 20.
