Somerville faced puck to open the local season the game was on, Port the circled the Stouffville net and slipped the rubber past Barton. Shortly afterwards Boe came down the ice flanked by Roach. Coming to the defence he passed the disc to Roach who tucked it in the up- per corner of the net, Barton never got his eye on it. The game was not very much farther advanced when Roach took a pass from King at the blue line and drove a wicked shot at the Stouttviljel net. The shot hit Barton on the mussie and caromed isto the net, In the second period' Port Perry kept right on from where they left off, Walers made a lone rush down the left boards and passed the defence and put the rubber between Barton's legs and into the net, Raines was thé next to add to Ports' total when he made a rush and shot from the blue line, The puck forced its way through Bar- ton's skates and into the net. Port Perry ended their scoring there, Stoutfville were not in for a white- wash and kept trying hard, Crosby was rewarded when he made a lone rush, getting past the local for- wards and splitting the defence and lodged the puck in the upper corner of the net when Deshane came out to meet him, IL was a nice play. The third period went scoreless with Stouffville playing four men forward when they could get the puck out of their own end of the rink, Port Perry was best at all times and the crowd of over 750 went home well satisfied that the other teams in the group will have to do some smart playing to keep them from winning the group, Deshane played a good game as usual and could in no way be blamed for the goal scored against him, Roach's shooting was good, two of the goals coming from his stick, Crosby turned in a good game for Stouffville, Teams: Port Perry----Goal, Deshane; de fence Boe and Raines; centre, Wal- ters; wings, MacGregor and Naples.
