FIVE FIDELLISSIMO CLASS ELECT OFFICERS HOLD SOCIAL EVENT In spite of the inclement weather Tuesday evening a large number of mémbers of Miss Amie Jackson's rlaés of the King Street Sunday School gathered at the home of their teacher to spend a social evening. Miss Jackson was assisted in re- ceiving the -vests by her two sis- ters, Miss A'ice Jackson. the return- ed missionary, and Mrs. Harold Wells. Business of the evening consist: ed of the election of officers. It was presided over by Mrs. C. W. DeYille and the results were as 1us lows: Miss A. Jacson, teacher; president, Mrs, Hales Barker; vice president Mrs. E. Rundle; assistant secretary, Mrs. Bert Martin; treas- urer, Mrs. Wilfred Pogson; assis. ant treasurer, Miss Ella Stevens: flower committee, Mrs. Newton Ed- gr, Mrs. Allan Glover, Mrs. A. Haskell and Mrs L. Ferguson; mem- bership committee, Mrs. A Dean, Mrs. W. Gamble, Mrs. G. Edgar, Airs. K. Clark; press reporter, Mrs. James Wilson. Gratifying reports were given by tke various offi ers. The treasurer's report showed that during the 'past eight months, $140 had been rais. ed. During the eight months, the secretary reported, there were nine new members added to the class and cn the whole the attendance has been pretty good. The resignation of the former secretary, Mrs .Charles Pilkey, mee Miss Sue Michael, a recent bride, was accepted. The late treasurer was a faithful and highly esteemed wember of the class and one whose place is not easily filled. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pilkey expect to leave Cshawa within a few days for Myr- tle, Ont., where they will make their new home. Some of the ladies made the departing members the recipient of a pair of beantiful silver candle stick holders. The gift served two nurposes, that of a wedding presen® and also as a farewell remembrance. Twentv-five dollars was donated to the Sunday School for missions and it was also decided to make onc "lassmate a life member of the W, Refreshments in the form of a dainty lun~h brought the evening to a close and a hearty vote of thanks signified the appreciation of the hospitality of Miss Jackson.
