L. Per- ron, Minister of Highways, in his latest bulletin. His latest statement is as follows: "At the beginning of the season we forboded a number of 1#otor ac- cidents, which would certainly have materialized had pot the Minister of Roads taken a determined stand against excessive speed, and seen that the law was respecied. 'The stern suppression of exces- sive speed gave good results, and, according to reports reac®ifg the roads department, the percentage of motor accidents in the Province of Quebee will be markedly reduced this year.' "The minister wishes to thank motorists and the general public who approved and supported his campaign. Most motorists are with him, realizing that his object was not to annoy travellers but to pro- mote safety.
