Arnott, made a most effective showing, A banner borne by two hoys and with the scarlet ribbons carried by two senior girls headed this school's group, All the boys and girls wore shoulder sashes of maple leaves varying in tint from late summer's green to that royal scarlet which is the maple's own. The girls, in adli- tion, wore crows of maple leaves which set off their middy costumes to perfection, Thornton's Corners, Union No. b, school of East Whithy was the hest disciplined group in the long pro- cession, many thought. All the girls were dressed in middies,, and the hoys struck a uniform note by dark knickers, light shorts and wine silk ties.
