BA -- Park Dedicated A memorial park, given by Mra. W. J. Davidson of Toronto in honor of the late, Lieut. Walter Robus, was dedicated at Norwood yesterday afternoon. Lieut. Robus went over- seas with the Second Battalion C. E.F. in 1914, being the first man to enlist in Norwood, and won his com- mission on the field. D, Reid of Mon- treal was the special preacher, The morning service was of a memorial nature in honor of the fathers of the church and of three former min- isters who have passed away. A hronze memorial tablet was unveil ed by Rev, W. D, Reid in memory of those who were instrumental in erecting the building, WAS WELL, KNOWN The death occurred in Smith's Falls Saturday night in the General Hospital, following several weeks' illness, of Thomas A, Cairns, at the age of 68 years. He had heen a resident of Smith's Falls and vicin- ity all his life, with the exception of seven years spent in Toronto where his wife died about four months ago, He was held in high esteem by all and was very well known in that district. Lillie got beyond his depth and went down. Marie, Ont., Aug. 15.-- The Dominion Fish Hatcheries in the Soo expect this week to com- plete this year's distribution of 236 - 000 speckled trout fry, with the shipment of 50,000 trout to Timmins to replenish rivers and creeks in that district. Approximately 100,000 speckled trout fry have been shipped up the Algoma Central Railway, 5,- 000 to each of 20 points between here and Frans. Sudbury district was supplied with 30,000 trout while North Bay, Huntsvill, and many other points received consign- ments. There are a few hundred rainbow trout at the hatchery for which no requisitions have been re- ceived from as yet.
