Survey of the juvenile population of Nshawa has shown that there will be an increased attendance of 600 in the city's public and separate schools in September and it is chief- ly to adequately meet the increased demands of the health department which will result, that the appoint- ment will be made. At present there are four public health purses em- ployed, three of whom attend to pub- lic health work in two schools and one of whom has three schools un- der supervision. The additional nurse will be placed on the staff immediately in order that sh, may become thoroughly familiar with the work of the local department before the school term opens.
