The GRCA is established under the Conservation Authorities Act and, as such, is a public sector corporation in partnership with its member municipalities and the Province. It is responsible for flood control and water management activities throughout the Grand River Watershed. The authority is involved in programs related to water management such as parks, recreation and development review.
