On September 24, Clarence Showers passed peacefully at Woodingford Lodge. Our hearts are heavy, but glad that he has found peace with the Lord. He was the beloved husband of Ruby Showers, son of the late Olva and Evelyn Showers (Grant), and brother of Marion Searles (late Bill). He was also the loving father of Murray Showers (Donna), Catherine Oliveira (Mike), and Karen Rowell (Jeffery) and the dearest grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.

His work as a Registered Industrial Accountant was put to use at various industries including Thomas Built Buses from which he retired after 19 years.

Clarence served positions in various churches including scout leader, church council member, and choir member of Dundas Street United, New St. Paul's Anglican, College Avenue United, and St. David's United Churches over the years. He was also deeply interested in, and a member of, the Ontario Geneology Society and Woodstock Camera Club and a volunteer programmer for the Woodstock Rotary Festival of Music.

Family have been so appreciative of the nurses and personal care workers that administered to his needs. Thank you so much.

Visitation will be held at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home in Woodstock on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed immediately by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Donations in Clarence's memory can be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
