_PAGE 12 { KINSMEN DAY PARADE Schreiber Kinsmen started their July Ist celebra- tion with a parade led in music by a Marathon Band starting at the Town Hall at 10:30 a.m. Prizes for decorated bikes, trikes, prams and best costume were judged by Mesdames W. Scott, R. Sisson, and P. Conley. Winners were - bikes - Ist Cathy Doig, 2nd Betty Anne McKenna, 3rd Peter Dzioba. Prams - Ist Debbie Lynn Rigelsford, 2nd Brenda Speziale, 3rd Cheryl Figliomeni. Trikes - Ist Shannon Riley, 2nd Marie Morris, 3rd Leslie Bottomley. Original costum- es - Ist librarians - Anne Kulmatycki, Barbara Duffy. 2nd = gas pumps - Gordon Fummerton and Shane Riley. 3rd - wedding party - Vicki Krause, Sandra Richard- son and Rosemary May. Comic costumes - Ist - scare- 'crow - Joanne Winters, 2nd - hippies - Cathy Mull- igan and Maureen McParland. 3rd - clown - Victor Paul Perras. In the races all the little ones up to five years of age were winners. Girls 6-7 - Colleen McParland, Sandra Desmoulin and Linda Ross. Boys 15-50 Ron Woods, John Lewicki, Lawrence Trembley. In the afternoon the children enjoyed an exhibi- tion ball game, bingo and midway. The Kinsmen Draw winners were - Ist prize - dishwasher - Larry Heisler, Thunder Bay. 2nd - mustang bicycle - Alec Costa. 3rd - barbeque - Fred McColeman. A Dominion Day Dance was held June 30th in the Town Hall with Spadoni's Orchestra supplying music . and door prize was won by Mrs. E. Baucage, Thun- der Bay. The Kinsmen indeed should be complimented on this well organized day.
