ELECTS NEW OFFICERS Joe Wills presided over the last regular meeting of the Parents' Teachers Association in Holy Angels School Thursday evening, May 21st when it was decided to give a donation to the grade eight students for their trip to Toronto and to arrange the lunch for the graduation. Harold McParland introduced the guest speaker Mr. Lang of the Children's Aid Society, who gave a very interesting address on the beginning of the Society in this district and to make people more aware of their work in the community. This was followed by a question and answer period. The new executive was elected for the fall term and they are: - President - Bill Campbell; Vice- President - Ivan Beauparlant; Secretary - Mrs. Joyce Reid; Treasurer - Mrs. Mavis Godin. Coffee was served at the end of the meeting. TRIBUTE PAID TO REV. HUSSER & MRS. BANNING Reverend and Mrs. Husser and Mr. and Mrs. TERRACE BAY NEWS JUNE 41970 The Executive of the Schreiber-Terrace Bay and District Association for the Mentally Retarded paid special tribute to Reverend Husser and Mrs. Bafining for their untiring efforts on behalf of the Association. Reverend Husser has worked diligently as Program chairman and Director of the Association and Mrs. _ Banning was instrumental in getting.the Association underway in our area and has served as President- elect until the Banning's departure from Schreiber. On behalf of the Association, Mrs. Rita Allen presented a painting of a local scene to Rev .Husser to help remind him of the esteem in which he is held in this area when he and Mrs. Husser take up residence in their new home in Port Loring. - Mrs. Dorothy Lengyel then made a presentation to the Bannings of the same nature expressing apprecia- tion and best wishes for continued success in their new home. A lovely evening was enjoyed by all and a delic- ious luncheon with a cake made and decorated by hostess concluded the evening.
