AGUASABON GOLF CLUB NEWS The weather has finally given us a break and we are happy to announce that the Golf Course will # officially open Wednesday, May 6th. The Club House will be open and you will be able to make arrangements to purchase your Membership for 1970. We are looking forward to a banner season again this year and feel that we finally have the answer to teaching at least the fundamentals of golf to beginners or any others who feel they could use these basic instructions. We still don't know the answer on Sandy Middleton, as far as lessons for advanced players are concerned, but hope to have this problem ironed out before long. Our Golf Clinic for Beginners will start Saturday, May 9th and will continue each Saturday at 10:00 ~ a.m. throughout the season providing there is suf- ficient interest. Bill Hanley, who is in charge of Junior develop- « ment, has organized an ambitious program along these lines. Instruction, although not professional, will be supplied by some of the better golfers in the club who are also interested in furthering this instructional program. If you are interested in learn ing the proper fundamentals or basics of the game, come down to the practice fairway with an iron and a wood this Saturday morning. Groups and Times will be divided as follows: - Junior Boys - 10:00 a.m.; Junior Girls, Ladies and Men - 10:30 a.m. It should be noted that it is not necessary to be a member of the Aguasabon Golf Club to attend this clinic. So those of you who would like to golf but are a little timid about coming forward because you have never golfed before are more than welcome to come out for this free instruction. If you cannot dig up a couple of clubs, we will see what we can do to supply them to you for the lessons. GUIDES AND BROWNIES L.A.
