Applications will not be accepted after this date as interviews will take place immediately after the deadline. Refer to last week's NEWS for a detailed break- down of positions to be filled. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Recreation Office at 3542. Application forms for the following positions are available at the Recreation Office: Swim Pool .Manager-Instructor (1); Assistant Swim Instructor (1); Lifeguards (4); Playground Supervisor (1); Activity Leaders (2); Volunteer Leaders ; Volunteer Pool Staff LADIES' KEEP-FIT CLASSES - UPHOLSTERY COURSE Registration deadline for the above programmes is TODAY, APRIL 29th. If you are interested in join- ing, call the Recreation Office before 5:00 p.m. egistrants will be called early next week to in- | form them of time and date(s) as to when their pro- grammes will begin. Registrations have been very encouraging as over 20 people have registered in EACH of the above programmes . We are hopeful that the LADIES' KEEP-FIT CLASSES will commence next week and that the UPHOLSTERY COURSE will take place on one weekend in May. SILK SCREENING COURSE In order to formulate plans for this course, the Recreation Office would like to see a few more people register. Registration DEADLINE for this course has been extended to Wednesday, May 6th. REMEMBER, by taking this course you would be able to design your own articles such as curtains, dress materials, etc. Here is your chance to ex- periment with your own ideas and designs. REGIS- TER BY NEXT WEDNESDAY, MAY 6th. TOT LOTS READY FOR USE With the exception of minor repairs, all tot lots have now been readied for immediate use. We would like to remind all children using the tot lots to be careful not to damage the play equipment. JUNIOR BADMINTON RESUMES SCHEDULE Session #4 will be held this'coming Saturday, May 2nd as follows: 10:00 - 11:00 - 10 - 12 years TERRACE BAY NEWS APRIL 30, 1970 11:00 - 12:00 - 13 - 15 years. Registrants are reminded to wear proper footwear a and to BE ON TIME for their sessions. . WINDUP TOURNAMENT - JUNIOR BADMINTON A wind-up tournament for Junior Badminton players will take place on Saturday, May 16th. A list will be available at the next two sessions for players to sign. The general public is welcome to come and watch the wind-up tournament to see how the players have improved throughout the Clinic. Morgan, Director of Education for the Lake Superior Board of Education, announces the appoint- ment of R.A. Cressman to the position of Supervising Principal _ responsible for elemen- ' tary schools. A graduate of P.A.C. 1., the tormer Lakehead Teachers' College, and Lakehead University, he is currently engaged in a post-graduate programme at Ottawa University. Presently the Principal at Schreiber Public School, Mr. Cressman will assume the duties of his new post on the Ist of September, 1970. WALK-A-THON PLANNED FOR MAY. 23rd St. Martin's Separate School, Terrace Bay, are planning to hold a Walk-a-thon on Saturday, May 23rd, to raise money for the Grade 8 excursion to Winnipeg in June.
