The Recreation Association is now accepting regis- trations for the following programmes: - LADIES' KEEP FIT CLASSES: UPHOLSTERY COURSE: SILK SCREENING COURSE. Since the Recreation Office has received some indication of interest for the above programmes during the past two weeks, we would now like to ascertain how many people would be interested in taking part in the above-mentioned programmes . If you are interested in these programmes, simply call the Recreation Office at 3542 and leave your name. This is all that is required at this point for your registration. If we receive sufficient interest, a meeting will be held for the registrants in each programme to finalize details of their respective programmes. DON'T HESITATE ... CALL THE RECREATION OFFICE RIGHT AWAY. Watch next week's News for further detailes. _ SUMMER ACTIVITIES As soon as the ice goes out of the Arena and the floor is properly treated for summer use, the Recrea- tion Association will be offering such programmes as playground, volleyball, badminton, roller skating, lacrosse, etc. ' Further details on arena programmes will appear later this month. Other summer programmes will include minor fast- ball, playground, swimming, badminton,clinic, ten- nis clinic, lacrosse clinic, girls' fastball, girls' field hockey, etc. FURTHER DETAILS.WILL APPEAR LATER THIS MONTH. JUNIOR BADMINTON CANCELLED THIS WEEKEND Since our.local Art Club will be having their art exhibit this Friday and Saturday, the Badminton session regularly scheduled for this Saturday will be cancelled. The next session is scheduled FRIDAY, APRIL 24th, according to the following schedule: 6:30 - 7:30 - 10 to 12 years and 7:30 - 8:30 - 13 to 15 years. To repeat - the third session of the Badminton Clinic will take place on Friday, April 24th. A reminder to all registrants that proper footwear should be worn at all Badminton sessions . ART EXHIBIT THIS WEEKEND A reminder to the general public that the Art TERRACE BAY NEWS Men's Bonspiel - cont'd from page 7 PAGE 9 Exhibit - Demonstration will take place this Friday, and Saturday, April 17th and 18th respectively. This is your opportunity to take a first-hand lool¢ at both local and area talent and to see various dem- onstrations done in woodworking, copper enamelling, etc. Films will also be shown at specified times. NORTH SHORE BADMINTON TOURNAMENT This year, the Terrace Bay Adult Badminton Club will be hosting the North Shore Badminton Tournamen on Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th, at the High School Auditorium. Players will be coming in from communities such as Manitouwadge, Marathon, Schreiber, Red Rock and of course, Terrace Bay. The calibre of play at these North Shore fourna~ . ments is usually quite good; therefore, if you are interested in the game, be sure to drop in and watch some of the games. The schedule for the tournament will be advertised in next week's News. If you are interested in joining, or have any questions with regard to the tournament, call Mr. Lionel Waghorn at 3281 or call the Recreation Office at 3542. ARENA ICE A reminder to the general public that as of Wed- nesday, April 15th, the ice will be out of the Arena. Friday and Saturday nights there was a social with dancing to the music of Doug Moore and Geo. Chur- ney and Joe Kolotylo Friday night and to the music of Fred McColeman, Len Pineault and Joe Kolotylo Saturday night.
