The Indian artifacts on display were a popular attraction,among them being an Indian Tikinagon cradle board, a bean pot and a carved wooden laddle for lifting boiled food from a pot. The history display of the collection of antiques many over 100 years old drew favorable comment. Among articles on display were silver tea services, butter dishes, copper teapots and kettles, wine funnels, wood carving, oil paintings on China, Jewellery box, religious articles, fans, china dish- es, and a 1902 school register. Teachers that year were Miss Alice Barker and H.L. Cameron. In September and October, the school was closed due to Diptheria epidemic which caused the death of several children.
