OPEN HOUSE SUCCESSFULL Monday, February 9th, Schreiber High School held a successful "Open House". Interested par- ents were able to view first hand the numerous ac- tivities which they had heard about so often. An antique display in the History room drew many questions from spectators. The Latin costumes displa ed by the Latin students, the drawings and essays, made Latin become a "living" language . Great activity buzzed around the student built computer with its flashing lights and quick responses to problems fed into it. It was operated during the evening by teams of students. in the science room experiments illustrating biol-- ogy, physics and chemistry were carried on by students with scientific interests . In the commercial room the students demonstrated the use of typewriters, dictophones and other office equipment with great skill. The gymnasium was an active scene during the evening with events such as girls folk dancing and boys and girls gymnastics. In addition to the above, the bulletin boards in each room were filled with student essays and projects and pictorial displays. Notebooks and text books were on display along with demonstrations of filmstrips and tapes. In some areas the students were explaining problems and lessons were being taught. In the French room, dialogues were carried out in French by various students . The entire school was an active place as shown in photos and will be remembered by students and parents for some time to come. Bobby Ryan and Mr. Chyril pose with a "Latin Lady" in the Latin Room.
