Arthur Chabot, who chaired the annual vestry meeting of St. John's Anglican Church, suggested that arrangements be made for a visiting and special service day, once a week, to serve Schreiber parish- ioners. P.R. Bailey, church treasurer, in his report, indic- ated a successful year in church work. W.G. Furlonger was appointed vestry clerk. Mr. Chabot reported sixty-five services held, thirty-seven of these being communion, four baptisms one marriage and two confirmed. The report of the Anglican Church Women, given by Mrs. Jack Bryson, showed an active and financial ly successful year. She said new Altar linens are on order, more dishes are needed for the kitchen cup- boards, and asked that consideration be given to ren- ovating the vestry. Mrs. Robert Winters reported the organ fund stead- ily increases . Following Easter, a Sunday morning service, once a month, ona trial basis, will begin with the Lenten services. A laymen's service was also considered. Godfrey Birch agreed to take charge of subscrip- tions for the Algoma Anglican, and W.G. Furlonger volunteered to contact young men of the church to act as sidesmen. The stipend for weekly services was increased. Collections from Lenten folders showed an increase and Advent offerings were successful so it was agreed to continue with both this year. A vote of appreciation was given to Rev. Chabot who comes from Marathon each Sunday to hold even- ing service in Schreiber. Other officers elected were - Godfrey Birch, - warden; Norman Bottomley - people's warden; P.R. PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS A gratifying number of Schreiber and Terrace Bay parents attended the Parent Teacher Interviews held at Schreiber High School on Monday, February 2nd, from 2.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. The Parents were greeted at the door by the four young ladies (as shown in photo page 13) and given interview brochures.
