PAGE 10 SCHREIBER LONG-TIME RESIDENT DIES IN SC HREIBER The funeral of the late Mrs. David Godin, age 73, whose death occurred in hospital on January 29, was conducted by Rev. J.M. Cano in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber, January 31st. The honorary pall bearers were Tom Bolan, James Hale, John Power, Martyn Ryan, Wesley Mill- er and Arthur LeBlanc. The active bearers were Dan Godin, Tom McGrath, Brian Ram- say, Glen Godin, all grandsons, Ray Cook and Art Moorey . Interment was in Schreiber ceme- tery. Mrs. Godin was born Marie Louise Lemaire, in Calumet, |s~ land, Quebec, and was married in | 1919. to Mr.-Godin, coming with him that year to Schreiber. She was predeceased by her hus- band in 1961 and is survived by three sons-Robert of Thunder Bay, Leo and Gerald of Schreiber, three} daughters, Edna (Mrs. George Ramsay) of Terrace Bay, Ethel (Mrs. Jack Devon) of Eganville, and Rita (Mrs. Michael J. Mc- Grath) of Schreiber. There are also twenty-four grand children, a brother, Gerald Lemaire, of Calumet Island, Que. Mrs. Godin was a member of Holy Angels' Church and of the Catholic Women's League anda devoted mother . Among the many attending the funeral, from out of town, were Gerald Lemaire, Calumet Island; Isadore Godin, Sudbury, Mr. and Mrs. John Devon, Egan- ville; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Godin and Family; Mr. and Mrs. Len Portelance, Mr. and Mrs. Ray McCarthy, all of Thunder Bay, . producer.
