Each time a new Co-op Magazine comes out and the Terrace Bay section shows photos of employees who have reached another plateau in their years of service with Kimberly Clark Pulp & Paper Com- pany one realizes more and more how many families have called Terrace Bay home for quite a few years. Also, we realize how many have enjoyed the good living provided by Kimberly Clark's big mill in Terrace Bay. Yes, we area "One Industry Town", architectur- ally a lovely town, but a town whose spirit is what we residents make it. Do we call it home? Do we defend our home or do we just take that little bit of Terrace Bay on which our particular abode is situated and call that "home"? Once before our home town and industry was slan- dered and a few took it upon themselves to reply. Just recently a telivision program broadcast from Port Arthur maligned us, and a neighbouring paper editorialized smugly on Terrace Bay's "Company Town" status, forgetting that we have elected our own Reeve and Councillors for some years now. Dog gone it - | reserve the right to moan about our weather, black flies etc. but | challenge out- siders to do so. | resent sneering references to "my home town" and the Company which has helped to provide a good life for my family. He is only five months old but already sits up with a minimum of support. Young as he is, George is a really active boy. He loves to be played with and enjoys being bounced, or bouncing himself in his jumper. He rolls from side to side and is trying hard to roll over. He reaches out for things and greets attention with smiles and gurgles. George is on a good routine -- eats solids well from a spoon and sleeps soundly all night. He is a short, stocky fellow with brown eyes fringed by long lashes, dark wavy hair and olive skin. This bonny boy needs parents who will not be concerned that little is known of his father. EEE SUPERIOR'S SPONSOR BINGO DECEMBER 8TH - Terrace Bay Superior Juniors played Manitouwadge Copperkings last Saturday afternoon. Even though they lost by 6-1 it was a closely fought game wrought with excitement. Terrace Bay managed to break a shut-out in the last few minutes of play. Perhaps if they had broken this deadlock sooner it may have been a much different score. This same Junior team is sponsoring a bingo December 8th at the Moose Hall. Watch for further details.
