EXTRA CARDS --- 25¢° ADMISSION --------- ~----$1.50 per person HELP KINSMEN HELP YOURSELVES CHRISTMAS POSTAL SERVICES Postmaster General Eric Kierans today announced extended postal services during the Christmas season. To assist customers in the purchase of postage stamps, money orders and other Christmas mailing transactions, full wicket service will be provided at all post offices for three consecutive Saturdays: - December 6th, December 13th and December 20th. Letter Carrier and Parcel Post delivery service will also be provided as one complete delivery on two Saturdays: - December 13th and December 20th. This additional service will ensure earlier delivery of Christmas mail and relieve the congestion at the post offices . The decision to provide this service followed a series of consultations with the postal unions to establish satisfactory arrangements for the extra work involved. Department officials estimate that the extra service will cost approximately $350,000 -- per day in overtime pay for the Letter Carriers.
