The F.W.T.A.O. elected Miss G. Hadley of Schreiber as President of this District. Mrs. S. Mikus, who is the Liasion Officer for the Economic Policy Committee introduced the guest speaker Miss J. Dyson, executive assistant of O.T.F.A.O. for Toronto. Miss Dyson urged the women teachers to take a more active role during the coming year, in the formation of economic policies. The O.E.C.T.A. chaired by Mr. H. Shack, Schreiber, initiated steps to combine the efforts of both the Manitouwadge and Schreiber counterparts of the organization. The O.P.S.M.T1.F. for this District has been rejuvenated with Mr. Cressman, Principal Schreiber Public School as President. Discussion in this group Platform Party - left to right - Mr. E.J. Dukes of Schreiber as their 1969-70 President and Mr. J. Hormick of Manitouwadge as Vice President. Mr. A. Gouthro of Schreiber was elected Salary Chairman for the District. Other business matters were discuss- ed and the meeting adjourned at 4.30 p.m. October 8th was a stimulating informative day for Educators of District 29 and the benefits of such a day are repeated by students and all those interested in the advancement of education.
