PURPLE AND WHITE THEME FOR DOYLE-PENNER WEDDING In a double ring ceremony held in St. Patricks Cathedral in Fort William at 2 p.m. on August 22nd, I969 Joan Ellen Doyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Doyle of Terrace Bay became the bride of David Jonus Penner, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Penner of Kenora, Ontario. The ceremony was performed by Father Bourguignon and Mrs. Conley provided organ accompaniment. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a short white dress made of tiny rows of lace with lilac ribbon in- serts around the square neckline, the Empire waistline, on the angel wing sleeves and on the hem. She wore a white lily of the Valley shoulder length veil and carried a cascade of pink sweetheart roses and tiny white carnations. The bride's attendants were Mrs. Ron Doyle and Jane Ann Deyle(her sister). The former wore a deep purple dress wit square neckline, long finely pleated sleeves and deep pink ribbon trim. Jane Ann's dress was of Lilac Crepe with round collar trimmed with white lace which continued down the front of the dress with - continued page A
