DISTRICT COURT REPORT On Tuesday, July 29th Judge T.A. Connor presided at district court in Schreiber and sentenced Eddie L. Comeau to twenty-eight days on four charges laid under the Criminal Code, Bruce L. Bottomley, charged under the same section of the Criminal Code was remanded until August 26. Remanded until the same date was Albert A. Anderson charged under Sec. 231 (1) of the C.C. Thirteen traffic violations were remanded until August 12th and fines were imposed on the following under various sections of the Highway Traffic Act:- John Teniuk paid $28.00, Pavalo P. Pelligrino $27 .50, Vincenzo Figliomeni $13.00, Leslie F. Gordon $13.00, Alfred Neely $13.00, Beverley Stewart $18.00, Richard A. Lohr $22.50, Jos. A. Morin $12.50, Dennis E. Forsman $13.00, Gordon | Moorey $28.00, Roberta A. Fildey $8.00, M.E. Petrushak $13.00, Nelson J. Smith $12.50, Gary -- Gusul $13.00, Kevin Kirkpatrick $12.50, Dennis A. Gauthier $12.50, K.E. Kirkpatrick also paid $12.50 on a charge under the Liquor Control Act and warrants were issued against Patrick C. Holonen and Norman TERRACE BAY NEWS Mann. MAN KILLED NEAR JACKFISH Ontario Provincial Police were notified at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday morning that an accident had occurred on highway 17 about six miles east of Terrace Bay. Investigation revealed that a 1965 truck driven by Peter Nicholus Atamanuik of » White River had left the' road on a curve some time Friday evening .and continued on into the bush, where it was screened from view. Enroute the vehicle encountered rock cuts and the driver was killed. The accident is being investigated by O.P.P. Constable Lapworth. Chapman , Miami, Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Heiland and grandchildren - Port Arthur, Mr. and Mrs. Don Rassmassen and family, Minneapolis, Minn., and presently visiting Marge are her sister. Bea and husband Tom Carr of Brandon, Man. Alice Jean and Chuck Williams are presently visiting with the later's grandparents Mr. and Mrs. A. McKechnie and Mrs. and Mrs. L. Williams.
