Roger 3635. The "Open" will start this Saturday; tee off time is9a.m.D.S.T. We will be playing 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The course is in excellent condition and we hope to be using No. 3 and No. 7 greens. There will be over $300.00 in amateur prizes. A barbeque will be held at the Club for $1.50 plate. There will be a social and dance at the Club Saturday night (free, everybody welcome - no minors). A lot of work has gone into this event and the support of the membership would certainly be appreciated. In the July 16th Twilight - G. Solly won class "A" event; C. Wise won class "B" event with S. Kolesar as runner-up and J. Wellings won class "C" event. Good News! - Sandy Middleton will start coming down on weekends again. He will try to get down at least once every two weeks. Watch the club bulletin board for the exact dates. On the week- ends that he is present, he will be holding a Free Junior Clinic at 9a.m. Sunday mornings. All Juniors should take advantage of this service be- cause professional advice can be invaluable to an inexperienced golfer. The club executive held a meeting on July 15th It was decided that a training clinic and a rules committee will be formed. The objective of the training clinic will be to supply basic information and training for new golfers The rules committee is being established to per- form the following objectives - (A) establish and interpret rules; (B) provide a means for the member- 'ship to become informed of course rules; (C) provide and get results.
