Tews "nd and Gth Sunday each month - eee YATES - OKSANEN WEDDING On Saturday April 5th at 4 p.m. Rosine Betty Yates became the bride of Mr. Allen Robert OKsanen of the Lakehead during a ceremony performed by Rev. T. Garnett Husser in Terrace Bay Community Church. Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was lovely in a white Peau de Soie gown made with slim skirt and lace bodice and sleeves. Scalloping edge the neckline and a lace overskirt fell from an Empire waist line. A pearl embroidered tiara held her shoulder length tulle veil. She carried a nosegay of red roses highlighted with white and orange ice tulle. During the ceremony soloist Mr. H. Lohr sang The Lords' Prayer and On My Wedding Day. Mrs. E. Hodgkiss presided at the organ. Bridal attendents were her sister Jacqueline Sopel of Brandon, Manitoba - Matron of Honor; The misses Meredith Coe, Linda Goodsmanson of South Gillies and a sister, Caroline Yates as bridesmaids. Flower girl was Charlene Yates and Ring Bearer was Doug OKsanen. The attendants'gowns were designed in Orange Ice Sere uge in A-line with jewel neckline, bracelet length sleeves and self binding trim.
